Fire Door Inspections and Certifications
Preventative Maintenance Programs

Cressy Door Company has fully equipped service vehicles that are radio dispatched to your location. We service all major brands of commercial and residential doors including: rolling steel, fire doors, sectional, rolling and sliding grille doors, broken spring repair, door and gate operators and access controls. All our repairmen are trained professionals and all work is guaranteed.

Commercial Service is also available on a 24 hour emergency basis for commercial doors and electric operators. After regular business hours, the emergency commercial services are based on an over-time rate.

Residential Service is available during our regular business hours of Monday through Friday 7 AM to 4 PM.

FIRE DOOR INSPECTIONS AND CERTIFICATIONS
The National Fire Protection Agency and all fire door manufacturers require that all fire doors be inspected on a yearly basis to assure maximum safety.

• Section 15-2.4.3 reads:
  "All horizontal or vertical sliding and rolling fire doors shall be inspected and tested annually to check for proper operation and full closure. Resetting of the release mechanism shall be done in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions. A written record shall be maintained and be made available to the authority having jurisdiction."

Cressy Door Company has certified mechanics on staff to test your fire door and help you follow N.F.P.A. 80 regulations. While performing confidence testing on your fire doors, we will initially perform a visual inspection of the doors. If the door passes the initial visual inspection, we will then release your door in the same manner as a fire would in accordance with NFPA 80 (1995 Edition) and the manufacturer's instructions. After a successful fire door test, Cressy Door will supply you with the appropriate certification. If you're due for an inspection or need your fire door serviced, we'll be happy to help.

PREVENTATIVE MAINTENANCE PROGRAM
We encourage you to have your garage door system professionally inspected. These inspections are normally performed based on the individual customer's needs quarterly, semi-annually or annually.

Your inspection from Cressy Door Company will include:

• Careful inspection and any necessary adjustments to the counterbalance system including springs, bearings, cables and attached hardware.

• Careful inspection and necessary adjustments of all fasteners, hinges, top brackets, bottom brackets, tracks and rollers.

• Lubrication of all moving door parts.

• Careful inspection of your electric operator, test the reversing mechanism including necessary adjustments to limit switches and lubrication of appropriate parts.

• Recommendations on how to use your existing door more safely.

• A written recommendation will be given for any further repairs needed prior to additional work being completed.

NOTE:   To help prevent future problems, have your doors and electric operators inspected regularly.
